Getting tired of Sudoku? Why not try Marple?

Marple is a game of logic and deduction. The playing field consists of 20 tiles arranged in 4 rows of 5 columns each and a set of clues. The goal of the game is to figure out the correct order of those 20 tiles using the given clues by process of elimination.

There are four different types of clues: "In between", "Left of", "Same column" and "Next to". "In between" clue tells that the middle tile has to be located in between the other two. It however does not tell the order of the other two tiles or how far they are from the middle one. "Left of" clue tells that the left tile has to be located left of the right tile. It however does not tell how far apart they are. "Same column" clue tells that the two tiles have to be on the same column. "Next to" clue tells that the two tiles are adjacent to each other. It however does not tell the order of the two tiles.

Love it.

Sudoku is lame. Marple is prettier and more fun. :)

Best puzzle/logic game

Marple is more than the sum of its parts. It has a brilliantly conceived logic to it and once you start solving puzzles it's hard not to say—why not solve another? If you enjoy sudoku or other logic-style puzzles, this is a must buy.

Tip: start the game as manual as it allows you. No hints, no auto-fill, no auto-logic. Figure out how it works yourself, and later you can put on some of the shortcuts that just help save time.

Great game. A+

Awesome! And a suggestion...

I find myself always coming back to this game. Great concept and overall very good execution. One suggestion is to change either the number or die tiles to something else. I find it hard to keep track of the item in my head because I can't refer to it uniquely. Example, I say "A-star-five" but five could refer to either the number 5 tile, or the five die. Regardless, still my favorite game on my iPad.
